Whether living with roommates is a positive or negative experience is largely dependent on the way in which roommates conduct themselves. The West Virginia Roommate Agreement recognizes that setting expectations for how each roommate should behave in the household will increase the likelihood of each roommate having a positive experience. The agreement also has a legally-binding component to it—namely the section about paying rent to the landlord on time.
