Massachusetts Limited Power of Attorney Form
A Massachusetts limited power of attorney is initiated by a principal to delegate decision-making powers to an attorney-in-fact. It includes the tasks that a principal needs completed and confirms that both parties have acknowledged the terms of the agreement. Once the attorney-in-fact carries out the duties, the contract terminates.
Although the state does not require notarization, the form contains a section for a notary public seal or stamp. Government offices, insurance companies, judges, and other official businesses accept notarized documents and see them as official.
Signing requirements: State law does not mention requirements for signing.
