Connecticut Lease to Own Agreement
The Connecticut Lease to Own Agreement is presented by a landlord to a tenant and contains all the major rules and conditions of a longer-term lease agreement. Although it contains the conditions commonly found in general leases, the agreement also contains a section that acts as a purchase agreement – giving the tenant the opportunity (not the requirement) to purchase the property at the lease’s termination. Tenants planning on entering into this type of agreement need to be cautious and take their time reading and understanding each section of the agreement; if a section is unclear or suspicious, requesting the help of a licensed realtor or attorney can aid in resolving the problem.
