A New Jersey minor child power of attorney form enables a parent to delegate care, custody, or property management responsibilities for their child or ward to another person. The document only applies to children under eighteen (18) years old and excludes consent to marriage or adoption. Both parents or legal guardians must agree on the powers, which remain active for up to six (6) months. The agent must prioritize the child’s physical, mental, and emotional well-being. Choosing a trustworthy individual as the agent is essential to ensure they consistently meet the child’s best interests.

State Laws: § 3B.12.67 to 3B.12.73
