The New Hampshire Month to Month Lease Agreement is a form used for arranging the rental of a room, apartment, or home for a month at a time. Unlike standard yearly leases, the form does not have a specific end date. Instead, either the renters or the property manager can end the contract by providing the other party with written notice of thirty (30) days.

Landlords opting to use the form should keep in mind that they are generally expected to increase the rent in comparison to what would be charged for a yearly lease. This is due to the increased risk they face for having a vacant property. Although designed for shorter-term leasing, the form does not lack on conditions and rules, covering topics such as those that relate to:

  • Rent,
  • Party identification,
  • Addresses,
  • Security deposits,
  • What’s included in the lease,
  • Disclosures, and
  • Signatures
