Vermont Sublease Agreement
State rental laws allow for subleases to take place, such as through the execution of a Vermont Sublease Agreement, under certain conditions. Specifically, § 4456b states that the sublease will be accepted or rejected as per the terms of a given lease agreement, and that a landlord may “require a tenant to provide written notice of the name and contact information of any sublessee occupying the dwelling unit.” Tenants are thus strongly recommended to use a Sublease Agreement to strengthen their case to their landlord.
