An Arkansas motor vehicle power of attorney is a form that appoints an attorney-in-fact to carry out vehicle-related affairs for an individual or business owner. The owner elects a representative when they cannot tend to the matter(s) themselves. By accepting the role, the attorney-in-fact agrees to carry out the duties in the manner requested or the principal can revoke their abilities.

Vehicle owners can use the power of attorney to allow another person to apply for a duplicate title, transfer the title, note a lien, request ownership verification or car information, and apply for title and registration. The attorney-in-fact assumes responsibility for decisions that do not align with the principal’s wishes.

Signing requirements: A notary public must witness the individual or business representative sign.
