Arizona Roommate Agreement
An Arizona roommate agreement is a simple form used for promoting cordiality among tenants living within the same rented home or apartment. The document covers many areas that are rarely found in a lease agreement, such as cleaning schedules, sharing, noise, and utility payments, to name a few. While having the roommates sign the agreement is not necessary from a legal standpoint (as it is unlikely the contract would be used in a court of law), the act of signing can result in the form being taken more seriously.
The form can be used for up to three (3) tenants. If there are more than three living in the rental, more spaces can be added by editing the Word (.docx) version. Once all roommates have completed and signed the form, a copy should be sent and/or printed for each roommate for their personal records.
College / University Roommate Contract
University (college) roommate agreements are designed to allow students to hash out rules regarding quiet hours, guests, music, alcohol, and other subjects, roommates can avoid unintentionally upsetting their fellow student roommate(s). To complete the agreement, the students housed in the room can either jointly fill out one (1) document or complete their own and reconvene to draft a single agreement.
