Indiana Real Estate (Property) Power of Attorney

The Indiana Real Estate Power of Attorney is a legal document that assigns decision making powers to an individual or entity who has been elected by the person drafting it (a party called the Principal). The Principal can make any number of requests to the elected party (the Agent) that involve buying, selling, mortgaging, refinancing of a property on their behalf. In distinction to most states, Indiana’s Power of Attorney (POA) laws (i.e. § 30-5-5-2) extensively address real estate POA arrangements.
