West Virginia Tax Power of Attorney (Form WV-2848)
The West Virginia Tax Power of Attorney (Form WV-2848) is a form issued by the West Virginia State Tax Department concerned with tax-related Power of Attorney arrangements. An individual taxpayer or the taxpayer and their spouse may apply to appoint an Agent to appear before the Department on their behalf to attend to certain tax matters. The taxpayer/s are given the option to either grant full authority to their Agent to act on their behalf or restricted authority to act on their behalf.

Signing Requirements – The West Virginia State Tax Department necessitates the signing of the form by the taxpayer. They provide the taxpayer the option to either have their signature witnessed by two (2) disinterested witnesses or acknowledged by a Notary Public.
