Iowa Tax Power of Attorney (Form IA 2848)

The Iowa Tax Power of Attorney (Form IA 2848) is a limited Power of Attorney governed by the Iowa Department of Revenue which specifically relates to tax matters. It allows a taxpayer to appoint an Attorney-in-Fact to represent them before the Department for the tax matters they note down in the form. For each tax type, the taxpayer must provide the relevant Iowa tax permit number, as well as the start and end date of the tax period. Once completed, the taxpayer must mail or fax the form to the Department for filing. The last page of the form includes instructions for completing and submitting the form to the IRS.
